Lead Researcher

We are hiring one Lead Researcher (Arts × Science) for a short-term, part-time engagement. This role involves leading a research and assessment project in the cultural/learning ecosystem. You will work closely with ReReeti’s leadership to map institutions, conduct interviews, analyse findings, and build a clear final report. What You Will Do

  1. Research Leadership: Lead the end-to-end needs assessment across cities and institutions from direction setting to final recommendations. 
  2. Research Design: Build the assessment framework, including methodology, interview guides, observation templates, and an interest/readiness matrix.
  3. Desk Research & Mapping: Conduct desk reviews for shortlisted institutions and develop structured summaries as well as map key stakeholders.
  4. Primary Research: Plan and conduct primary inquiry (meetings, interviews, and field visits), and ensure consistent documentation across institutions.
  5. Analysis & Synthesis: Analyse findings across organisations using a comparative lens and develop an interest/readiness matrix.
  6. Reporting & Recommendations: Produce concise profiles, draft a decision-grade synthesis report (exceptionally well-written and tightly structured), and support the final presentation of insights and recommendations.
  7. Project Support: Assist ReReeti’s Director in one on one interviews/discussions with institution leaders, prepare interview briefs, questions routes, and post-interview synthesis.
  8. Team Management: Onboard, train, and manage field researchers to conduct field study ensuring quality control of notes, interview summaries, and evidence capture.

What You Need

  1. Experience: Minimum 7+ years in research working with cultural and science organisations, museums, or learning spaces - ideally at the intersection of arts, science, and technology.
  2. Communication Skills: Proficiency in English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Research Skills: Strong capability in desk research, qualitative data collection, ecosystem mapping, synthesising, and writing decision-grade reports.
  4. Project Management: Ability to onboard, train, and manage field researchers, manage timelines, own the project end-to-end, and maintain high documentation quality.

What We'd Prefer

  1. Educational Background: Qualification in a science-related field with the ability to engage with science learning contexts.
  2. Language: Proficiency in Kannada and Hindi.

Remuneration

  1. Rs. 50,000-60,000 per month (10% TDS applicable)
